Ginger Crunch

Today I baked Ginger Crunch. First I weighed the ingredients then mixed them to make the base.
When that was cooking I made the ginger icing.

  1. Luke the ginger crunch is delicious. You read the recipe well and learnt about 1/4 and 3/4 when measuring the ingredients. Well done Mum x

  4. Kia ora Lucas,
Baking ginger crunch would have been a fantastic way to spend your day!
I really enjoy baking, and I find it very calming to bake up a batch of cookies or cupcakes and share them with all of my friends and family. Baking really is like science. You have to make sure you add the correct amount of everything so that the final product turns out perfect!
You mentioned how you weighed your ingredients before mixing them to make the base. Did you use scales to weigh the ingredients?
You also mentioned how while the base was cooking, you were making the ginger icing. What ingredients did you use to make the icing?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
Quick Tip- You will need to have another go at embedding your images into this blogpost. I am currently unable to view them and would love to see how your ginger crunch turned out!
    Keep up the excellent work!

    1. I used scales to weigh the ingredients. The icing had ginger, butter, golden syrup and icing sugar it was yummy. You should be able to see the photos now. Thank you for your comments

    2. Kia ora Lucas,
Thank you for replying to my comment! Using scales was a fantastic idea as you know they will always be precise. Did you find it hard to use scales?
The icing sounds so yummy, and I'm not going to lie, after reading this blogpost previously I was inspired to make a batch of ginger crunch myself. It definitely didn’t look as good as your one did though!
It’s great that you managed to fix the photos, and I really like how you have included images of the different steps throughout the process of baking this treat.
What was your favourite part of baking ginger crunch?
      Keep up the fantastic work!
      Nga mihi
