Kia ora Lucas, Ka pai on being such a tidy kiwi and cleaning up the beach with your family! Going to the beach is one of my favourite things to do, and I could easily spend an entire day sitting by the water and playing my ukulele. One thing I don’t like about the beach, however, is the amount of rubbish left laying around. It is sad to think about how much rubbish makes its way into the ocean, and even sadder to think it is because of people littering rather than waiting until they can find a rubbish bin to use. I always pick up rubbish I find on the beach and make sure I put it in the correct bin once I get home. I am very impressed that you did the same thing, and you should be so proud of yourself for putting in that extra effort and doing your part for our environment! What kind of rubbish did you find? How long did you spend picking up the rubbish? Did you get to have a little play at the beach afterwards? It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know! Nga mihi
Hi Lucas, Great to see you demonstratng your school values at home . I hope you clean up your bedroom for Mum too? I hve been walking down the beach wall in town most days. The other day we saw some dolphns playing out at sea - it was really awesome.
That is awesome Lucas to see you and your family doing such a great job caring for our environment. Were you surprised at what you found at the beach? What was the most unusual thing you found. Great demonstration of Kaitiakitanga Keep it up!!
Great work Lucas. That is such a nice thing to do to show Kaitiakitanga and look after the environment. NZ has a very nice environment that we all need to look after so it stays beautiful for lots of generations to come. Will you do it again one day?
Good job Lucas
